Do I need to be fluent already?

No. But this service is particularly suitable for people with intermediate to advanced English who can already communicate but want to become more effective. If you're a complete beginner, this probably isn't the right service for you.

Will you teach me a British accent?

Not necessarily. My focus is clarity and intelligibility rather than making everyone sound British. If you specifically want to develop a more British pronunciation, we can discuss that during your assessment.

Will you try to get rid of my accent?

No. Your accent is part of your identity. We'll focus on the features of your pronunciation that may sometimes make you difficult to understand.

Is this grammar tuition?

Grammar may come into our sessions when it's relevant. But this isn't traditional grammar-based English teaching. The focus is on communication.

Do you teach business vocabulary?

Yes, where it's relevant to your role. Rather than giving you long lists of business vocabulary, we'll concentrate on the words and phrases you actually need. 

Do you work with presentations?

Yes. You can bring an actual presentation you're preparing and we can work through it together.

Can you help me prepare for a job interview?

Yes. We can work on interview answers, vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency and confidence, as well as practising realistic interview questions.

Are lessons online?

Yes. Sessions are conducted online using video conferencing.

How long is a session?

Standard individual sessions are 60 minutes.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. The six-week programme is a defined programme of coaching. Ongoing coaching is monthly.
